22 August 2017 Company News

The mountainous country of Peru is world-renowned for its verdant Amazon rainforest, the ancient Incan city of Machu Picchu, Spanish colonial architecture in the bustling Incan capital of Cusco, and the possibility of adventurous pursuits such as hiking the world-famous Inca Trail.

As a key LATAM hub for business expansion, Peru boasts the most consistent and fastest- rising economic growth in the region over the past 10 years. It has been recognised as the second safest country in the LATAM region for conducting business and one of the best emerging markets for foreign investment; the country tops Grant Thornton’s list of the best prospects among emerging markets.

There’s never been a better time to expand into Peru: take advantage of a free 15-minute phone consultation today and find out how Mauve support your future operations.

Global Workforce Mobility Solution

Mauve Group supports employment of local and expat nationals in Peru through our Global Workforce Mobility Solution, similar to an Employer of Record service.

Mauve has a company set up in Peru, Mauve Peru SAC, which will employ the worker and register them on local payroll for tax and pension deductions. All workers are entitled to a 13th and 14th salary and need to be enrolled for CTS social benefit contributions which are required to be paid by the employer in the event of termination, regardless of the reason. Expatriate workers with a work permit must be paid into a local bank account; Mauve can assist with this via our extensive package of Value-Added services.

Foreign national workers need a work permit to work compliantly in Peru. The worker can enter Peru on a business visa as a “Foreign Advisor”, and once in-country, our local representative will apply for the work permit; they will be registered for local payroll upon issue. The processing time can take between 2-3 months once the application has been filed, pending any internal delays on the side of the authorities.
